Reimagining the retail economy from proximity to distance

COVID-19 has accelerated a shift in retail that started with e-commerce 3 decades ago. As consumers adjust their habits to mitigate the impact of the pandemic in their daily lives, retailers have an opportunity to reimagine their business to serve these consumers in a post-pandemic world. The panel will explore how the retail industry is doing this through the lens of our esteemed panelists who will explore both business & technical aspects of this reimagination.

The goal of the Innovation-X Roundtable series is to help industry adapt at this critical time. How can companies innovate to create the biggest impact for industry and society now and in the future? From these initial discussions, will emerge Discovery Projects, where we will leverage the resources of UC Berkeley faculty and students to create innovative solutions with Network members that guide the future of industry.
